ENOUGH

Mayuge District Local Government in partnership with Implementing partners commemorated the Day of African Child and World Vision launched the ENOUGH project at Busakira Sub-county Headquaters on 11th July 2024. The project aims at ensuring that children have access to enough food to enable them grow well. The event was flagged off at the District Headquarters by the Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Madoi Elaijah, Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Eswilu Donath, Secretary for Production and Natural Resources, Hon.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY UGANDA

Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU), affiliated to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is an ecumenical Christian ministry that works towards ensuring that everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity Uganda works with Vulnerable Groups including Orphans and Vulnerable children in order to improve their living

a) Shelter support. 

Upgrade of Jagusi HCIII

jagusi health centerII was selected by the government to be one of the haelth centers to be ugraded because of the need in the communuty.initially this project was given a grace period of 6months tocopletion however was given additional 60 days due to technical reasons.

The work progress is good considering the challenge of being an island. the components of the building includes among others; the general ward, 4 VIP stance pit latrine,4 shower stances, placenta pit, medical waste pit , OPDand others.

YOUTH LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMME(YLP).

Introduction.

  

In 2013, Government of Uganda introduced the Youth livelihood programme (YLP), targeting poor and unemployed youth to harness their social-economic potential and increase self-employment opportunities and income levels with an initial budget of 265 billion shillings. The project was meant to support the youth in form of a revolving fund for skills development and income generating projects.

UWEP

Introduction

Mayuge was among the pioneer disricts that benefited from the UWEP program in the financial year 2015/2016were 14 groups were funded towards various enteprises to ensure income source for better economic livelihood in only 4 sub counties. a taotal of 56,864,000 shillings was disbursedto the groupsfor the use.
