Orientation of Grievance Management Committee

Rwenzori Rare Metals (RRM)is training/ orienting Members of the Grievance Management Committee of both the District and sub county Level in the District Council Hall.

This training comes after a recently concluded public hearing on environment and Social Impact Assessment of the Makuutu Rare Earth Project which generated a lot of issues and grievances .

RRM now intends to put in place a procedure and mechanism to address complaints and problems based on grievance resolution mechanism that will comprise a District Grievance committee, sub county Grievance committee and village Grievance committee( where RRM activities will be anchored).

In attendance are; The District Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, The RDC, Chief Administrative Officer, selected Heads of Department, Sub county Chiefs and LCIII Chairpersons of Buwaya and Mpungwe and the Chairpersons Area Land Committees of the affected Areas.
